bit of a rant Im afraid guys....
Have this tds problem as mentioned on here the other day, simple is I still havent got it sorted yet!!
There is a guy at Brodex called Mike who has been really helpful. The TDS reading went up more when I flush up to 7{wierd} but when I make pure water I cannot get it below 2... so mike suggested that it may be the riser tube assembly {the small white cone shape each end of the centre riser tube} may be damaged and some contaminated resin is in the grey riser tube hence - making the tds level 2 .

Ordered a replacement on wednesday didnt arrive until today Tuesday {cheers Royal mail ???} and guess what they sent me, some small bit of hose pipe!!! costing 30 odd quid!!!

Goodness me, Im trying to make a living and like all you WFP workers NEED PURE WATER.
I have mostly had good experiences with Brodex but I must say this is pretty bad when you rely on a company to back you up when things go wrong
Oh .....the UGLY? My face and being angry.... oh well you gotta laugh I suppose..... NOT!

Sorry, I dont understand what the guyat Brodex is offering as an explanation re: the high TDS. Dirty/contaminated resin in the riser tube shouldnt affect your TDS readingto that degree, I think anyway ???

Hey HS n son. I am just as mistified, but trying to get the problem sorted.....have ordered new membrane as the old one seems shot.
Why would the tds rise when I flush? it drops when I turn the flush off to fill the tank hence there must be contamination somewhere in the resin bottle as the resin is only 2 weeks old yet will not purify completely. Anyone any idea please?

tds will rise when you flush
and decrease when you put back on production.
this is normal

On a new system 002 ppm would appear a little high, I still achieve 000 after several months, however you can clean with that level of purity.
I'd leave it back flushing for as long as you can and check to see what you get afterwards.
Is the reading before or after the resin?

hey rob.
It is strange that when I disconnect the pipe before it goes to the resin {straight out of the ro} I get a reading of about 029 then through the resin it drops to about 002
it is also strange that before I had these tds problems whenever i flushed before, it always came out as 000 after the resin ???

you arnt flushing the resin are you
inside the head of the d1 filter there is a small o ring that the riser tube fits into it sounds like this is damaged or unseated and is leaking a small amount of unfilterd water into the filterd water make sure it isnt damaged and is seated right in the grove it can easily be dislodged use some silicon lube befor refit on the tube and o ring

002ppm will be fine to work with.
