Title: been out canvassing for the first time tonight
Post by: mark blundell on March 21, 2011, 07:14:29 pm: like i said above i have been out canvassing for the first time tonight.

i was really dreading it didn't fancy knocking on doors but it's not that bad

i have been out 2 hours and got 4 new customers

2 @ £16 4 weekly
1 @ £16 6 weekly
and 1 @ 15 4 weekly

i also got 4 possibles 1 right opposite my £16 6 weekly so she might see me there Friday and decide to have hers done

also on the same road someone wanted them cleaned but didn't want to pay my £25 charge tried to knock me down to £15 her house was the biggest on the street with conny even thought the green conny roof was included.

i'm sure some people use the i don't understand English very well to try it on and i can see how some people would get taken in buy it.

Post by: CLEANCARE WC on March 21, 2011, 07:36:12 pm: I got a call to quote a house a couple of months ago priced it up £22 (cheap) and tell the custy i call every 4 weeks. she says cant you do it every 6 weeks? i said sorry im only in the area every 4 weeks, but if you like you can have it done every 8 weeks (no extra charge) but she kept insisting on every 6 weeks.anyway she said she was getting other quotes and never heard from her again...cant win them all.

darren ive been out delivering flyers for 2 weeks now the first week really going for it changing my shoes from boots to trainers boots to trainers depending on where the blisters where that day
the second week was not so full on as i was getting quite disheartened but still getting out there.

and with all them blisters aching legs feet back i come home at 14.00 today and spent 2 hours reading back posts on here about canvassing then just thought go do it and i sort of enjoyed it got more customers in 2 hours than i have in the last 2 weeks and a lot less blisters

i stood there stuttering err err at first but you soon get used to it and its really not that bad

i didn't get 1 rude arrogant person although my build probably helps with that 6'4" 19 stone lol

darren just go do it tomorrow evening and you will feel good when you get a couple under your belt and its so much easier than delivering flyers

yes answer...could i just have a quick look around to see what price i would charge

some houses were all similar so i could give them a price on the spot...then find out they forgot to mention the maffif conserve ;D

I would be happy getting that in a day of canvassing to be honest! You got really nice prices too, do you price per window?

Do you know how many doors you knocked?

If you go out tonight please keep us updated as I am going out for the first time in April and it would be great to know I have underestimated what I can achieve. 8)

results not as good as yesterday but i still got 2 new custys

yeah i'm not complaining i will back out there knocking them doors tomorrow evening
