Title: Milky frames

hi guys
            Had two jobs that have the milky frames seem to be scrubbing for ages white eveywhere.
Started off just scrubbing left to righton the top of frame  then went on to next window then came back and did the glass, is this the best way to do these or can you put somekind of cleaner on it first?
Will they come good or will they be milky all the time???

Hey... I test the older frames first by a damp finger wiped across the frame, if white stuff rubs off I never clean the frames as well {never a problem with new doubler glazing}. I stick to the glass only as any slight milky that comes off will lessen with a few cleans. Stick to the glass my friend on older milky stuff !! :o
When I fist went round and changed to WFP  I wiped the top of the frames first when up the ladder to get rid of the dirt. A lot of my work are the older milky frames but the method I described works...

as he says mate do the finger test first. its impossible to use fan jets on these windows as you cant control the flow.  pencils seem the best route .dont touch the frames if you can avoid it.

It is a bit of a nightmare. I normally get this on painted frames that are in need of re-painting. Though also on older plastic frames.

On milky frames, hot water is even worse ;D

If rinsing brush on then mono brush is better than a flocked.
