Does anyone use this unit for getting gum loose to scrape up afterwards and if so is it any good as i hate scraping endless amounts of gum up in a regular club i do .Regards Alan(swindon)

That machine is good but as it is a vax brand it is consderably more than other machines I have several steam machine and have one that look identical to that but only paid about £40 for. If I have large concentartions of gum then I often find an industiial wallpaper remover a better tool as it has a larger tank that allow you to work for longer between fillls A 1.5 ltr capacity steamer will only give you about 20 minutes or so of steam if used constantly. These machine are also a bit dangerous to open and fill unless you allow quite some time to allow it to cool down then you have to wait about 15 minutes for the thing to heat up again. So if we use steamers we always have 2 on site so that we can work constanly or we take an eight ltr industrial wallpaper steamer which also has a good sized attachment the will trat a lot of pieces of gum at the same time. If you want to discuss it further by all means contact me through on of my sites.
If you decide on a steamer Have a look on ebay for steam cleaners there are a lot on there brand new with 12 months warantee it is quite easy to pick them up fvor about £40.

yes peter i do agree with you that having two or more machines will allow you to work regularly. you can use other while leave other to be ready for the steaming operation.
