Hello Tony
Got your message thanks, was out of the office all day Friday at meetings so did not get a chance to phone - will phone you Monday

the claws from cats cut into the leather then turn it inwards so the flap of leather is still their it just needs coaxing out with a steel toothpick, then a hint of glue, no recolour needed.
well this is the case normally :-\ :-\ but from those pictures there are too many of them....... so sand-fill-recolour-re-grain(?) send a sample of the leather to Judy to make up the pigment.
this is from my limited knowledge so might not be 100% correct ;)

Looking at the photos... I wouldn't attempt it personally! But that's just me, maybe Judy can advise better she's the expert

Tony has the cat gone now
Gone? if it was mine you could be 100% sure it would be gone ;D, that's been an ongoing assault on that sofa for some time.
I'd simply get the colourant and with a fine paint brush fill in the scratches.
