Title: what do you use to clean your pole

i have had my pole for over a month now and wanted to give it a clean gardiners say somthing about ptfe spray but i can't find it on their website would good old mr sheen be ok to give it a clean ???

the way i see it the more you look after the stuff the longer it should last  ;D

flush it out with water ... then i wash it with pure water, dry it off with a micro wipe... bit of warm water and a drop of fairy on the aquadapters ... leave brush in bucket of pure water ....

i leave it in a bucket of pure water for an hour or so then take it out and all the bits have come out of the bristles to the top of the water.

works for me anyway....

polish worked a treat no more gritty noise nice and smooth when you collapse and extend the pole must have picked up some sand/grit over the last week or so  ;D ;D

i flush mine out about once a week by opening the sections about a foot or so and popping a hose down the base section for a min flushing out the dirt.then i wipe down all sections with a cloth and lightly spray with WD40.also i run a cloth over the pole hose.

i thought wd40 was bad for the poles ie the glue etc ... that will def void your warranty if gardiners find out!

just saying, they do state you shouldnt use that - just double checked ...

no maintenanance at all on either of my clx's - just use them and leave in van till next day .... had them for 6 and 4 months both fine if a little looking scuffed.

I don't think my mrs would like me to divulge that information on the net :-\ but it involves her mouth.
