Title: Tomato soup on wool carpet
Post by: wayne zabel on March 17, 2011, 05:16:17 pm: Any ideas for the best approach for a Tomato soup stain on wool carpet, It will have been in for only 3 days when I clean the carpet on Saturday morning.
Do you think I will have any chance of sucess?

You're best option to hope for is that the carpet is a dark yellow pushing orange, so that you could reduce it enough so what is left blends in.
If it's any variation of white/cream then forget it.

The food colouring(dyes) in soup, pasta sauces etc are so strong it makes you wonder what happen to our stomach linings when we eat them :) Before you start the job, find out what they have used, if anything, quantify best expectation (low) and why. If for some reason you get a good result you will be a "miracle" worker in their eyes :) If you have quantified before and the result is not good at least you made them aware of this. Good luck

As Stuart says, a stronger then normal solution of MPower or Nemesis and left for longer then normal (go to 30 minutes) can do it.

I was fully expecting to be facing a large red stain,could there be a chance of wick back on this now.I presume her actions should prevent this happening ??? ???
