Alright Guys
How much would you charge for this place on a 8 weekly clean?
Only reason I ask is that the woman said I was a tad expensive and I thought I was quite conservative with my price!!
I will post my price later.

-
IF in a good place regards other work etc ....
id prob say £2 odd per bay and the norm £1 per normal window
-
£19.
-
if its a regular job £25-30 if they are ok and not to dirty, if they are real diry £40-50 but im new to this game so what do i know ;D ;D ;D
-
If I lived in UK I'd be 100% WFP. That bunker must be awfull to clean trad.
-
£28 8 weekly
-
£18
-
im sure its prob £25 - £35
-
if its a regular job £25-30 if they are ok and not to dirty, if they are real diry £40-50 but im new to this game so what do i know ;D ;D ;D
I'd love to live where you live mate; £40 - £50?????????????????
SAJ, if you're charging the woman any more than a fiver we'll be out there nicking your work ;D ;D ;D
Bet you didn't get more than £15 ;)
-
£22-£25
They look like them horrible old upvc frames with the rubber that runs, on them id do all the openers 1st then do the window underneath...
-
£30.
-
£25 every 8 weeks ;)
-
looks like im a bit under par, but thats where i like to be. a little cheaper than average. keeps custys sweet but still earn a good living.

I think you're pretty close to the actual price. It's easy to come on here and say what you'd like to charge; if we could we'd all charge twice what we actually do, but getting the work is another matter!!!

£40-50 is if they are dirty and a one off clean that size house would take me about 1.5 hours to do but im not as quick as some on here with the wfp.
-
If i asked for 40 50 quid around here i would get 2 words back and it would begin with an F and end with an F.......... 15 QUID MAX.
-
Common sense at last ::)
-
£20 on a 8 weekly

Whereas a 3 bed semi is £15 around here if quoted for now every 8 weeks.
-
come on saj what did you charge ??? ??? whos closest to your price
-
For all those that said £25 well done your are right ;D 8)
MLS if it did not have the side windows than yes maybe £15 for a 4 weekly clean but £15 8 weekly ???
I was tempted to say £30 as the windows are not in the best condition and may throw up a few problems with black runs and crapy seals.
Anyway keep the prices coming, its interesting on how we all differ on price!!
Stuart
-
thank god for that my regular price of £25-30 wasn't way of after all 8)
-
its very interseting to see that some trad guys would charge so little when a job like this would be a pain for trad and fairly simple wfp
-
£20 glass only. wfp.
-
up my way you would be pushing it trying to get 15 quid. :(

Come on SAJ, hand on heart, how much difference do those 4 extra weeks make ???
We both know that unless they live on a main road with plenty of passing traffic that it makes hardly any difference at all.
Fair play to you mate, if you got £25 for less than 30 minutes work more power to you but I wouldn't pay you that much, but then again I guess I'd just do them myself ;)
-
£20
-
Id have said £13-14 WFP wont take long, I tend to charge the same for 8 weekly dont make much difference.

I know you said WFP, but if you had to Trad it, what would you take?
-
I wouldn't trad it, I'm a proper window cleaner ;)
-
£28.00

So you'd WFP the insides then? ;D
-
Yes I would, and then I'd build a carpet clean in to the price; got to learn to think outside the box in this job ;)
-
;D ;D ;D I'm following this guy!!!

Sorry that was for a 4 weeker, for 8 weekly £32. Would be haggled to £30 if she tried.
-
£17/£18 on an 8 weekly basis
-
reckon 25 is about right. Not as easy as it looks. Plus it would be a night mare trad. Wouldnt touch it without a Wfp.
-
I would go for 20 quid, but i would probably end up wishing i charged £25, there is no way i could do that lot in half an hour.
-
on a 8 wk basis i would put trad price £40 wfp £30
-
looks to be a stinker- id go in at £28,trad
-
£25 and id waive the first clean extra price.i reckon 30 mins to clean after first clean out of the way.
chopsie you should of speeded up by now mate!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
£16 every 8 weeks no problem .... soon whizz around that and £30 for 1st clean if minging.
If i was feeling cheeky would have said £18.
Im way under what some of you lads have said but honestly thats my prices.
-
I would go £35 8 weekly .
-
£28 six-weekly
£42 twelve-weekly
Vin
-
honestly no less than £25 cos ive got jobs at £25 smaller than this! but i'd like to think i'd get £28 to £30! im in east mids by the way
-
£30-35 depending on location. (By this I don't mean how posh the area is but how far i'd have to travel).
-
£25 every 8 weeks £30 for the first clean

I think 30 mins would be too fast, all those top openers/top lights would need doing first (after cleaning top of frame and mid bars) else they would just be dripping onto glass below. Then back round to the start and do all the windows below. Then repeat on the bottom windows. Looks a ball ache to me, I find those type of windows a pain, My house has a bay a bit like those, and the glass below the top openers/top lights never comes up spotless, always has odd runs on it, no matter how fast/slow I go.Splash and dash IMO would leave a right mess.
-
£50

Im in the east mids as well and I wouldnt dare charge so much Id get laughed at, Id say £15 tops,
I once got told I was having a laugh for quoting £8.50 for a 3 bed semi with small extention I thought it was a fair price, she said "your having a laugh my old window cleaner charged £3.50" I just said ok then and went.
If your getting £25-£30 for houses like that well done to ya.
And some one who asked me what Id charge to do it trad I wouldnt touch it using a ladder looks deadly.
-
its a big awkward stand alone house!i just wouldnt bother unless it was £25!
£15? i charge that for 4 bedders(sometimes £20!)in little clusters in cul-de sacs! ;) ;D ;D
you want to be making at least £30-£35 an hour on these type of properties IMO.

I am in east midlands and you can easily get 20-25 quid for that.I would not entertain doing that for 15 quid
-
Im happy to make £25-£30 an hour, I sometimes make more on compact work. it would take me 20 mins to clean it wfp, would take longer for the first clean but Id just take a loss the first time, but £15 isnt bad for 20 mins work be even better to pick next door up as well, next door plus this one 40 mins work £30.
-
You might think Im cheap but Im one of the more expensive ones round me I get undercut on some or just get turned away for being to dear :(
-
I dont care how much you charge liam, just saying you can get a higher price than £15 if you wanted. You can do it for a fiver for all i care :P ;D

Some cleaners round here would do it for a fiver !! ::)
-
they are welcome to it then ;)
-
20 with wfp..its too high at the back to trad anyways :-\
-
£25 every 8 weeks. £30 first clean.
-
£45-£60 easy has 50 + panes. 3 storeys too, right pain.
-
its good to see that use window cleaners aint lowering the price of a clean, but come on. some one posted £50. WHO LIVES IN A HOUSE LIKE THIS. thers no way there gonna pay £50 a month. im wfp so ill be there 15mins fist clean 8-9mins on a reg. £16 for that house frames and sills. a guy on here said wfp glass only?how and why would you do glass only sell the system
-
Before reading the replies, I reckoned on £23 for a 6 weekly. This would go to £34.50 for 12 weekly (I don't do 8 weekly unless a 6 weekly ends up getting delayed).
However, if you were calling the bit of facia on the top bays part of the regular framework (up to the lead), then it would be a bit more. Those little flat roof type bits can be a major pain with runs when there is no guttering. Indeed I think I would point out to the customer that ingrained run marks may not come off.
-
mattflash i think your deluded mate! ;D ;D ;Dthere is no way you would clean that property in 15 mins first clean!it would take at least and hour IMO.then probably around 30-40 mins from pulling up to driving away on maintenance cleans.
if you were tradding it how much then?£35-£40?
window cleaning has definitely changed!wfp has made awkward bigger work cheaper!!

It sounds like we have a similar view on this one Daz. I was thinking 35 minutes for maintenance cleans to do it well. If in a hurry and doing glass only - maybe 25 at a reasonable pace. It's reasonably straightforward but those steps around the side would slow me down a bit as I would need to check my footing more.
I don't doubt that a maintenance clean could be done in 15 minutes. However, this would be at a pace that I personally would struggle to sustain. I don't see the point of rushing around, risking an accident on steps etc., just to gain a few minutes - and then having to take an extra break later because I've been working faster than I'm comfortable with.

no disrispect mate but you can get more, i do! your underselling yourself brother!

amen sir!

no mate your prices sound about bang on, someone once said on here...
if your getting a 50% take up on canvassing your prices are bang on! if less your too dear. if more your too cheap!
So the moral of the story is in business you have to excpct to be dearer than some and cheaper than other!

-
here in leicester i would easy get £25+ for that size house i get £8/10 for terraced houses ;)
-
In Essex thats a £25/£30 house and a 40 minute job for me,
at least an hour for the first clean all WFP.
-

I'd be impressed if you could do it in 8-9 minutes....

-
Maybe I am too cheap or maybe every one round here are tighter than a nuns ......... ;D
-
hmm i count 6 bay windows each bay has 12 windows i figure 72 pieces of glass on these bays only they will all need to be brushed, rinsed .not to mention all the rest its hard sometimes to get it right you look at it and think ye i can do that in decent time, and its well easy to under price it.
Quote alot of glass however these days i find new work a little bit price sensitive
i think £25 - £30 is fair,
its easy for me sitting here pricing but i bet i would have said something like £20 or £22 just to be on the safe side of getting the job which is silly.
but yea i think £25-£30 is spot on! good going!
-
Nice to know that my pricing is right, but by what some of you guys are saying time wise sounds like i need to up my pace abit
I would be looking a good hour for this house. Even longer for the first clean
