I find best way to fill is to poor resin into a bucket, then put some water in and then pour into the vessel.
And fitting all depends on what fittings you have?
If its john guest to hoselock then this will do

Get a bucket, i usually get my window cleaning bucket, chuck the resin in it, pour some water in till its sloppy then just pour it into vessel. Takes forever if you try and do it dry bit by bit.
Get it :)

Fill the vessel with resin up to the shoulder. You can do this with your hands cupped. Then fill the vessel with water to just below the threaded neck. Now insert the riser tube with head attached and once centered screw it on.
NOTE-
DO NOT cross thread the vessel head! It might take a few attempts to line the thread up.

Also try to make sure there are no resin beads in the Vessel female thread before you screw the head on to it. ;)

Here here on the do not cross thread! I did it on my first attempt and lost me temper cause it just wouldnt go on and then cracked the lid lol.

Been close a few times myself. Filling with water first makes the job so much easier.

Just get a gutter hopper, stick it in the top. Instant funnel that keeps the threads clean.
