We had an eot to clean for a cleaning co. which was miles out in the sticks.
The address was " The White House, Redhill, etc. "
Our tech went to do it but could not find the place. His sat nav did not take him to the house.
We tried ringing the cleaning co. but they were not answering their phone.
Eventually he found it and the cleaner was not there but the usual arrangement is that they hide a key for us.
Sure enough the key was hidden under the recycling bin so he started work. ( he did say " this place is f*****g huge " )
FOUR hours later the cleaning co. rang to ask if we were still going as no one had turned up yet. :o
Yep we were at the wrong house.
What are the chances of finding a property close to where you are supposed to be, that was also called The White House, is empty and has a key hidden where it is usually left for us.[/u]
Our tech got directions from the cleaner to the correct property which was 3 miles away and eventually finished at 7 last night.
We have knocked on the wrong door plenty of times but it is the first time we have ever cleaned the wrong house.
Imagine the face of the owner of the first house we cleaned when they return to nice clean carpets and no idea how they got that way.

Whoops, can't say I have ever done that, knocked on the wrong door a couple of times, but never got as far as doing the clean.
