Well after a winter of not gaining many and not losing any I have had a nice little growth spurt. Let me give you details.
Yesterday - Mrs W. A new £20 every two months custy.
"My old windie keeps messing me about, s'posed to turn up Sat. I wait in all day and at tea time I phone him and he tells me his clutch has gone and won't be round - so I stopped him coming. I tried the new system about 5 years ago but didn't like it but my neighbour says you do a good job"
As you'd expect she loved the job I did! And I got a milky coffee with a pair of choccy hobnobs! Yay! ;D
Friday - Mrs O' C - 3 floor farm house by the old Roman harbour £25 every two months.
"Mrs T next door recommended me to you and now I've got new windows I want them keeping clean."
Friday - Mrs G - fit and fifty and out for a walk - but saw me cleaning and books me on the spot - 3 bed semi ex council - fronts only plus porch. Monthly £8. Paid on line.
Wednesday - Mrs C - 4 bed modern detached £18 monthly and Mr D - one off clean on next door property £30 on the spot.
Monday last - Mr G. R. - Big 4 bed 30's semi with a rooflight - £20 monthly.
"My bro in law is a windie in Essex and he reckoned it would cost £25 so that's fine!"
Chiz - but I don't mind. It's 30 minutes work for £20 ;D
Is it the sun? Is it the time of year? Is it my new "Dickies" maroon uniform? Is it my "almost bald but not ginger like squeaky" (you can't resist it can you!? 7. >:() good looks?
Perhaps it is a combination of all these things.

Don't flatter yourself Mr Gold.
It's definitely the sun ;D .
I've actually lost a bit more recently than I've gained. One custie actually decided they wanted them done traditionally - after me cleaning for them for about 12 years (the last five and a half with WFP). There will be tile walking involved too and this was one of a few jobs that I used to dread because of this - especially in winter.
However, not an hour ago I picked up a commercial job that is £30 a week and it's not a mile away.
It is actually worth more than £30 because there are some pretty awkward windows that can only be done with WFP and it will take a while - especially some fiddly bits on the inside that will need my easyshine kit. However, it is weekly and it must be done very early - which suits me just fine because it won't overlap with my domestics. I've found that if you price these jobs like normal domestics, you just don't get them.
Probably one and a half hours or even a bit more for the first clean but not much over the hour after that. Freeze ups will be awkward as it has to be done early but I discussed this with them and they've agreed to a cut down service on such occasions - i.e. only using trad tools on the bits I can safely do.
So not ideal but value wise it's the equivalent of 12 x £15 6 weekly jobs and can all be done out of hours - so not to be sniffed at.

Does the first one (Mrs W) have an access problem? Just wondering why she feels that she has to wait in?
A bit harsh cancelling him because of a clutch failure. OK he might have been lying but he might not have been.

I've had an utterly bizarre day.
Luther1 came round yesterday to blag a coffee. He left about 2:30 (late finish for him...). Since then, I've gained eight (yes eight) customers.
I have leaflets out that generated five of them and the website generated the other three.
So, my advice is make Jamie a cup of coffee and watch the customers roll in.
