We have a regular job that's due at the end of the month and after deciding we needed a new long pole to do it we thought no problem we'll get a Supermax 50 from Gardiners.
After reading their website it would appear that they'll be out of stock 'til April - brilliant :-\
Can't even seem to get them on the phone to see when in April they'll be back in stock!!!
So, do any of you fine upstanding and brilliantly reliable window cleaners know where I can get hold of an equally good pole of the same length or longer by the end of the month for a comparable price????
I phoned Varitech and all they had were 60ft Extels for £1500+!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not keen on that with their 8ft sections!!
So, any advice on decent suppliers who can sell me a pole as good as the Supermax, at the right length at the right price???? I'd even consider a good second hand pole if it were in A1 condition.

Macmac has a 60' as new S2 he was thinking of selling on Matts forum only last week. Quality pole!

I dont think youll find a pole in the same league too be honest, Cant you borrow a pole from someone local (is Dave Morris near you) until they are back in stock...

I think you're probably right; and no Dave Morris lives miles from me in deepest, darkest Cornwall. I live on the English side of the Tamar ;)

Scottish borders I believe. He's nearly always on here and would probably post. Genuine guy and a real Gardiners fan. Think he wanted around £700. They are well over a grand new with vat etc.

Just spoken too Alex on the phone, He said the s-max 50 is back in stock at the start of April (fingers crossed) theyve got the s-max 45 in stock, also the sl2 will be back instock in about 10 days.

The Supermax 45, is that the actual length of the pole or the reach of the pole???

I've been ringing all day and nobody answers the phone ???

I possibly have a 60ft SL2 for sale. Used approx 10 times & as new without a mark & with all original items inc' Gardiner holdalls, SL ST mono brush, 10" goosneck, hose, end protectors, velcro straps, user manual etc.
57ft actual length & 2.6KG weight ;D
£650 collected from scottish border/Northumberland.

Cheers for that mate but to be honest a modular pole doesn't appeal to me as I know I'll leave a section behind before too long and the level of adjustment isn't good enough, but thank you anyway.

Did you know Gardiner now have the new SLXtreme on the website. Not cheap but probably the best telescopic in the world! ;)

Make sure you have the right number. I remember tying to order the SLX and I got their number from 118118 or some such service and it was a wrong number that just rang and rang.
