Title: Taking off sign writing

Hi there,

Im in the proses of taking the stickers off the van.

The actual vinyl is not the problem, its the glue residue that it leaves behind.

Whats the best thing to get it off.

tfr not help ? also a little white spirit but be careful not to damage lacquer

ive just done a movano. best thing ive found is g3 pro scatch remover from halfords £9.99 plus get the applicator pads £5.99. just wash the van slightly dampen the pad and using straight side to side movements do a panel at a time. wipe of excess and give it a quick polish off. my white movano was covered in glue residue but the g3 got it all off and brought the paintwork up in great condition

white spirit will be fine and it won't damage lacquer because car paint is two pack. Will need a polis afterwards because it will be dull

Not trying to p on your chips but removing graphics can be a pain it's likely it will still show a shadow of the old graphic, depends how long it was on the motor and also the paint colour.

Isopropanol (check spelling  ;D) won't damage your paint at all but I'd call a sign company or paint shop and ask what glue remover they advise mate.  I have some super strong stuff to remove glue and foam but I'd have to get dressed and run up the garage to find out what it's called ;D

I used petrol in the end  :o

Then re polished it, looks good now
