Hi
Dont they need 200psi ish to work properly?
What psi is your pump?
Dave
-
Yes buy one they are awesome!
I presume you have a 120psi pump? I usualy clean upholstery at 150psi and so yeah 120psi is more than enough. Some people on here have said they clean upholstery at about 100psi
-
Agree with Carpet dawg, definately worth the investment, especially if your doing a lot of upholstery, couldn't believe the improvment when I got mine about 3 years ago and I went from similar, auto detailer.
-
psi not too sure maybe 120 or 100 ?
-
could my steempro powerplus be upgraded to a 500 psi pump? any ideas on cost?
-
I would say it's the best tool I have bought, mine is 8 years old and it works as well as the day I got it just had new seals that's all, I use mine at 300psi and it just knocks the dirt out and I leave upholstery virtually dry.

Yeah same as Shaun 300psi great tool and the heads are a lifetime buy.
If its the standard steempro I have been advised not enough room for anything over 135psi.

DO
;D ;D
-
They are fine to use with a steempro just put a bigger jet in the cfr hand tool
-
I,ve got 2 of these they are a great bit of kit but i tend to go through a lot of repair kits whether i use it at 130 psi with the portie or 300 psi with the truck mount >:(
They have told me i might be better getting the whole valve next time instead of just the plunger and spring.

ok i'm gonna get one any advice on which size and what nozzles to get?
cheers guys keep the answers coming
-
oh and wheres the best place to purchase ... ;D
-
The only place i'm aware of that sell it is Amtech http://www.amtechuk.co.uk/shop/CFR_Upholstery_Hand_Tools-cid-62-1.html
There's the 3" and there's a 5". The 5 will cover bigger areas quicker but tricker on fiddley bits.
-
The nozzle is a good price but i presume you also need the extra bits that cost the same again.
-
I've got the 5" but like carpet dawg says it can be a bit fiddly, doable as you just cover the excess with your finger and cover areas really quickly but a 3" is on my list of things to buy
-
As per the others. It's a no brainer. I've used them since 1997.
I used mine with a 100 psi (old Hydromist) and it was still better than previous tools. You will need a CFR hose set (the trigger is built into the hose, although they do a 5' connector to cover this.
Once however, you move up to 200psi+ you will notice a huge difference.
-
Is this tool the same as the drimaster.
John

If you can affor it get the 3 and 5 inch heads. Also are you aware of the different jet sizes as ts useful to have a choice.

Get one from cleansmart in Nottingham, if you don't like it you can send it back for a refund, but you won't send it back.
-
Can't find them on Cleansmart.
John
-
Not sure that Matt at Cleansmart will deal with CFR anymore - machines or tools.

How does it compare to the drymaster tool.
Apart from price of course.
Love my drymaster tool.
John.
-
john, someone has to.
-
Hi
There is another one Cleansmart sell it, like a drymaster but with a trigger.
Dave
-
Apart from the price what's wrong with the Colin?
They make cleaning u/h a breeze.

The CFR spotting machine now comes with the 3" CFR tool as standard replacing the previous plastic detailed tool.
Not sure what rating the solution line is. I am sure Dave or Karl @ Amtech can tell you.
It certainly adds value to this little machine. I have used the spotter machine to clean pieces of upholstery during training sessions and it works as well as larger machines for this tasks with the method I use/teach.
-
used 5" cfr for the first time today I found it a bit heavy compared with the prochem
I was using but what a differance well worth the money even with 100psi still did
the job really well need to upgrade machine
so the answer is to buy
