Afternoon all,

Today we cleaned a cladding.

This job took us 6 hours to do, should have taken 4 but we were in no rush today so took our time.

It's a blue liquid; we used to use it to clean the inside of pub windows when smoking was allowed, now we just use it for every day cleaning.

Yes we used Ubik applied it using a pressure sprayer attached to a old water fed pole, will take some photos or a vid of it next week in action  ;)

Did not use pure water, we used tap water why waste resin!!  ;D I think we used about 400L for that job.

The sign was a pain had to clean around it by hand, hence there is a ladder in use  :P

no offence you have done a good job but i could of done that without the use of ladders and using a pressure washer in under 2 hours.

i have just uploaded a clip of my dad doing some cladding cleaning using a pressure washer onto youtube not sure how to get the clip on here but it is listed under cladding cleaning by T .perry

 the cladding isnt as dirty as yours but you can see how it works, with cladding like the one you where cleaning it is necassary to be able to have the angle at top of pressure washing pole adjustable an attachment can be bought to make this possible without one you could struggle to get to some of the tops of ledges.
frankybadboy i wasnt criticising his work, he did a good job but this forum is here to share ideas to make jobs easier and thats what my suggestion was intended to do

What type of setup is that and how much is it??

its a lavorwash thermic 17 it runs at 21 litres a minute and 3000psi it also has a burner to heat the water we have it fitted in an ifor wiliams trailer with a 1000 ltr water tank which also has fitted reels for the pressure hose, the machine alone would cost about £10000 but with trailer and other fittings it would be nearer to £14000, you wouldnt need a machine like this for most jobs probably a cold wash at 15 ltrs a minute and 3000 psi would be more than adequate and you can pick one like that up for about £700.

Ubik is a brill product but does not kill algae, the job on the pics is a job well done its nice to see a great finish

Why would you want to kill algae ?
It gets it off dont it , if i used a product that irradicated algae then i would not get the call 12 months later for a repeat job , no brainer for me .
