right thinking along the lines of the likes of AA, cash for gold and the annoying ambulance chasers....
so im looking into the correct way of going about this down the right channels...
thinking of getting a couple of a shaped sign boards mate and pitching up on the street ie outside schools, shopping centres ... that sort of thing.... like i said like the companies do i mentioned on the top line...
anyone done this or had experience of this??
is it the council you need to speak to or the owner of the shops for example??
when youn think about it everyone hates thos annoying ambulance chasers but nearly every wh smiths shop they are stood in the door way bothering every customer on the way in... surely smiths arent happy with this? as it puts off customers coming in the stores.
fully uniformed, flyers, loop fobs .... on the spot advice .....
as it just window cleaning will i not get a look in from the council or shops? ....

I did a outdoor motor show last year at a stately home near me. I paid £20 a day for a space to park my van. I put a paste table in front of van which I put my leaflets, flyers and brochures. I also gave a free demo every hour to the crowds that had gathered around me.
From all that I managed to generate £300 worth of work. Shall be doing same this year.

nice one! you wouldnt get that from dropping flyers around on foot, so good work there mate.
im struggling to find out the whole 'law' on doing this in town centres .....

not that id use a company to do it for me but this looks good for bigger companies.
SAS street advertising services - they have a product called clean adverts - they basically make a stencil of your logo etc and pressure wash it! so your details are on the floor! be great for pressure washing companies
-
how about sticking to the local supermarket entrances like the sky / glazing companies do that way your hitting the local house holders and you could just do it at peak times. remember to pick up all dropped flyers.

I believe you'll need a licence.

be careful check with your local authority (council) some towns like brighton you need a licence in the city centres to dish out flyers etc
i flyposted flyered etc for 3 years in london for record companies and clubs etc and paid out over 10g in fines
that was a few years back now the penalties are even higher
stickering flyposting chalking pavements boarding lamposts etc are all now considered a no no with the enviro police youll soon find yourself standing in front of the magistrate if not careful
that goes for signboards also on it can be up to a grand per poster board etc now
