I can't open my resin canister to change the resin.
Any ideas of how to do it?
Thanks
Tim....

never had that before ???
could it be frozen?
or
more likely have you cross threaded it when screwing it down?

Had same problem myself a few months back ... think i got some resin in the thread from the previous change plus over tightened it.
Managed to open it by laying it on floor and twisting it from bottom using the inlet/outlet connector as a leverage point ... not ideal as i was very lucky not to break the inlet/outlet connectors but worked for me.
sure there will be an expert along soon who can give u safer advice ;D

I get that all the time , if its bracketed in the van , crack it open before you undo the bracket , if not then what i do is push it into the corner of 2 walls with my foot and get it off that way , if you have another persons foot to use then its even easier , hope this helps .

Also , before you put the lid back on smear the rubber seal with a small amount of silicone grease , works wonders.

Lie it on the ground and pour boiling water over the head unit only. it should expand enough to release the thread. You could also knock it gently with the butt of a hammer or nylon mallett if you have one. Tap it all the way round on the side to shock the joint.
Good luck

Thanks guys. Git it open in the end with 2 man brute force.
Now my bloody carbon filter housing is leaking after replacing the filter! Bring back ladders and a bucket! :)
