any one got any good ideas to use under a rug for post vacuuming so the dust falls out away from the rug, like a grid.
I'm getting alot of enquiries for off site rug cleaning so what to get some gear sorted. also need something better to beat the back of the rug but don't want the expense of a rugbadger...any ideas?

Mike,
This site does matting http://shop.rubberco.co.uk/index.php or wilkinsons do mats with holes in that can be cable tied together, I used them in back of van.

Don't know if they are suitable.

I'm sure Mervin Jackman adapted a Kirby, he attached leather strips to the brush roll.

Use #23mm grass matting' from slip-not.co.uk & it works well. Tried their 'interlocking grass matting' as it was more economical - but it has to high a surface area & thus restricts the outflow of the rugs debris

If you don't think a rugbadger is the right purchase just yet, get a Royal, bloody brilliant ;)
