i used to really like ionics but i think they con people out of money everything you need spare parts are stupidly high, iv had a recent problem with silicone in the tank coming apart and actually coming thru the outlet on the tank and gettin churned up in to my pump we pulled it all out sent a pic which you could clearly see the tank shape where its been sealed and they wouldnt send out a new pump.

maybe they can afford these glossy looking catalogues coz they rip people off.

iv spent absolute fortune with them and when you ask for a discount etc or credit if ya aint got ya wallet on ya they jib ya off coz i forgot to pay me pay for something less than a tenner for a few months

Got my brochure, and very impressed.

Was speaking to a fellow window cleaner the other week, and we were chatting about a firm who has a couple of Ionics Thermopure systems, and he mentioned he had asked them why he spent the money on them, and the guy told him it was not worth the hassle not. Too busy to DIY, or deal with unproven set ups that would take their vans off the road if there were any problems.

Having never experienced the set ups, I would like to think it's that old cliche of "you get what you pay for".

Certainly look very good in the brochure.

Yeah,I'm going to the one in Guildford on the 16th of this month, only down the road,as for the ledger brush I'm sure there was a company in Germany who thought of this first,PuraQleen or something was their names, seen it a few years back on Youtube ;)

hahahaha - not sure if Norwich is civilization .... :-\

have an ad at Ormsby St Margret as well, it's early days but yes had some calls & work from them
,  Carrie got a good deal on the cost so we thought we would give it a try, just to raise the company profile.

That is the old proven sales pitch they use, so when something goes wrong, you phone them up and they want to charge you for a replacement battery that is only 3 months old, thats ok, it will be with you next day ( thus a day off work ) you could have allways gone to halfords and purchased a battery and been back to work in 1 hour

its a sales pitch, they are smooth salesmen and will say anything to help you part with alot of money

Yep very pricey - but like us they need/want to make a living and i'm sure their investment in poles/system etc..
runs into many £££££'s

it's your choice whether to pay ionics prices and tie up funds in all that equipment or go the DIY route.

i don't like the veiled threat regarding tanks and insurance....

but thats another thread!

For such a professional looking brochure from a professional company, they really need to proof read it properly. I've counted quite a few spelling mistakes already which doesn't look good when you're trying to flog 6 grand worth of equipment...

Do not Worry, the salesmen will convince any customers that the spelling mistakes are not spelling mistakes at all, the mistake is that of the 'Oxford English Dictionary'  :P The gullible will believe it  ::)

had a quick scan thru mine .. leasing rates too high ... pro5 / 6 looks nice set up but my set up does exactly the same which is produces pure water but mine cost about a tenth to set up so unless win lottery wont be shopping at ionics anytime soon for a system

but do like the look of their new grafter poles and ledger brush so may but one later this year

No problem with ionic's at all. The only repair i had to have done was a new water meter. It froze and broke but luckily a very kind guy (one of the BFG's Customers) got me one for free. Fitted it myself so saved myself quit a lot of money. I think i was quoted around £140 for the part and labour. All my purchases have been dispatched on time and arrived on time. My only complaint is the TDS colour change filters do not last, from blue to brown in one week and a tds reading of 001 inside 3/5 weeks, 6/12 001 rising to 00.3 then i take it off, i don't clean with a reading higher than 00.3. Very easy to operate easy to fill, you must do your salt wash before every fill and a back wash every week for 20 minutes. I have had my pro 6 for nearly 2 years now and I'm very pleased with it, my water production is 00.1  so you can see why i don't think the colour change filters are all that good. I did have a tds  filter leaking inside a week from new, I phoned them up and received a replacement the next day and they didn't ask for the leaking one back. In Fact they said if you can stick some glue around the seam to stop the leak, keep it on and get the life out of the filter. I think they are very good but yes very expensive.
