Title: had a phone call from facebook??

ive never bothered with facebook or twitter.

had a call from some bloke asking for if he was speaking to the manager, said he was from facebook and would i like to advertise.

i said im not really intere - he hung up before i could finish saying interested

Phoned me last Monday asking the same thing. Told him no don't think hear checked Facebook because I've already got a page for free he wanted 190

he rang me today terrible phone manner, i hung up on him ;D

i also had a call from face book for advertising..told it was to big a geographic(think thats right) He says they can pin point then areas you would like to cover...i dont have a face book account..sounded above board.. also the guy who phoned was very pleasent

Just looked though my phone it was a private number.  But it sound like he was sat in a cafe it does sound like a scam

The trick is that any can be phoning from a company representing or in partnership with or on behalf of facebook or microsoft or mc donalds or any bigcompany , i used to do it when seeling advertising space we always said we were phoning on behalf of or doing a project with Ernst & Young. Truth is it was not true and we were flogging advertising space in books that were nothing to do with anyone important and there sole purpose was to appear like they were the real mccoy.

jeez!   :o facebook will never ever call you.ffs. if anyone rings about advertising and saying they are from facebook they're not.  ;D
