I went to quote for a job today...
100m2 of marble floor restoration, I was told that the price I needed to beat was £1000.00
Does anyone really quote work this CHEAP??
PLEASE YOUR THOUGHTS
Thanks

Were the other guys doing the same ammount of work as you? i take it you would have used diamond discs and stuff to re-finish? was that what the £1000 quote was for?
I remember a client saying something like that to me, but when she found out what the cheap quote was actually for, or NOT for, she wnt with me.

Hi Matt,
Well I made sure I was quoting like for like. I cant realy figure out if I was being lied to by the G.M or someone will really restore for £10m2.
I normaly quote around £35 to £40m2. is that about norm.

I used to do it in australia, so the prices will differ, but £10m2 sounds VERY cheap considering the work involved. Was it a total refurb with cutting disc and a repolish?
If so, then whoever charged £1000 will probably have a few machines going and alot of labour..
I know how you feel mate. Could you do it for the same money though? Thats the question, if not, then why undersell yourself, just wait for the phonecall for you to come fix the mistake afterwards ;D
