been looking at a ro for the last few days cant seem to make me mind up. lookiing at the ro man site they all look the same to me any advice on this. :) thinking of hooking up to the di vessel aswell any sites i should look at

The questions to ansawer before deciding are:-

1) What is the TDS of the tap water (i.e. do I need an RO or is DI sufficient?).
2) Am I on a water meter OR am I likely to be forced onto a water meter in the near/mid future?
3) How much water do I need to produce?
4) Am I likely to need to produce water more quickly in the forseeable future (e.g. employing others/franchising/selling pure water etc.)?

Answer those and it will be easier to give a definitive answer.

there is a 200 gpd ro for sale in the buy/sell section. That would easily do you. My pure freedom 300 gpd ro (pumped) would produce 150 litres in about 4 hours.

It doesn't you know Gav. Tell me what your percentage of waste is from your Merlin. There's guys out there shutting the waste tap right down on 40/40's and think they're great. The membranes won;t last long. When flushing a 40/40 the whole lot goes down the drain never mind a percentage. Its an urban myth that Merlins 'waste' a lot of water. They all do.

thanks for that.   How long would that take to fill 250 litres of pure water?  Is the waste ratio 50/50?  Cheers

What is the main benefit of a 40'' RO membrane as opposed to the 'normal' size RO systems? There seems to be a difference in price of approx £300 between the two.  Cheers

SWC TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS PUP IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE,

well when i first started i used a 200gpd and it was taking so long to produce water it was a joke, i was lucky a chap near me was wfp and showed me this little thing i listened to him and brought one, it double my production but over a short time it got quicker, the pump is like a turbine inside it takes away any airlocks in your system this takes a week or so but boy did it work it also cut my waste by more than half and trebled my production after it worked its magic and no need for electric, its hard to believe until you try one for yourself there not the earth to buy and mines lasted over four years, you got to try one to believe it its hard to put in words how it works but it works its that simple.

Hi S.W.C.
Where does the brine come in do you need a separate tank full of it or something?
