Title: cocopops on an 80/20
Post by: garyfindlay on February 28, 2011, 08:01:15 pm
Had a phone call from a custy saying that kid had dropped a bowl of coco pops onto her 80/20 wool carpet. She has been warned to not try anything on it. Has anyone had any luck taking this kind of stain out, or is it a case of turns the milk chocolaty., and sorry your carpet as well mrs.

everything about this stain is protein based.so something like stainpro by prochem would have a chance or something similar, i would extract first you might get lucky! depends also on how long its been down
good luck   gary bristowclean

Make sure you use cold water to rinse etc, with it been a protein stain

Rinse then MS and rinse, any browning from chocolate may need a reducing agent.

Cocopops on the carpet? easy, pour on some milk, watch as the milk turns chocolatey :) grab a spoon and tuck in!  ;D

Protein = Enzall.

custy had put kitchen towels down and stood on as directed and nearly all came out just a fiant shadow. It did help it was medium brown, might have been different if it was a white wool.

If it was white you may have had more options as you could use a reducing agent on it without risk of lightening.

Enzall is an awesome product but can lighten dark colours if left to dwell too long or used hot on natural fibres.
