Title: what size pole for roof skylights
Post by: erithwc on February 26, 2011, 10:39:13 am
i already have clx 22 with a 12" gooseneck but what size pole will i need for the skylights would the clx22 be enough  ???

looking on the gardiner site they sell spare lengths the clx27 reaches to 31 foot, would i be able to add the extra lenght when i need it or would i need to buy a new pole its the only job i have with skylights i picked it up today  ???

You can get the next section no probs, its what i did. Price is roughly the difference between the two poles inc. end cap and delivery. I never take the extra one off though,i find it light enough and still short enough plus i often dont extend the first thinnest whippiest section unless i need to.

Got some skylights  i can`t reach  and considered a longer pole  but i would get them by working off a step ladder for extra height(next time),that means money stays in my pocket as a longer pole would be a long time paying for itself for the odd skylight which ought to be done from the inside anyway or left.

22 should get the lower one but you will need 25 for the higher one
