Had set myself a target of 96 new customers by end of Feb ::)
Unless I get 2 busloads on Monday not going to hit it :(
Guess 32 new customers in a month not too bad though however treading water in terms of growth as binned about 25 dog poo / poor payers / bad attitude / skinters / can u leave it today etc etc.
but going foward I rekon all my customers now solid and proper however have noticed with window cleaning your round is always evolving with some going skint / moving / dying etc etc ..
Problem Ive had if being honest is not really been canvassing enough as too knackered from window cleaning, like today was going to spend it canvassing / leaflet dropping but really need a day off.
So for March going to do 2 things, ask every customer if they know anyone who needs a window cleaner and secondly post 5 houses either side of every job a "we clean your neighbours house" home made leaflet ... started doing the second idea but sort of forgot about it on busy days :(
Remember Dazmond saying to me on here takes 2 years to build a decent round know understand why ;D ... been going proper since June last year so hoping to do it by June this year .... if I dont wear myself out first ;)

32 customers is one month is fantastic, mate. Careful you don't set yourself unrealistic targets and then go beating yourself up about failing to meet them. If you get 30(ish) customers per month, by September you'd have over 200 new ones, plus what you've already got. That's plenty for one person and I wouldn't want to do more than 30 new cleans in a month; some of 'em are a real bugger.
And personally, it took me about four years to build a half-decent round; but I am a slacker!
You're also doing the right thing about dumping the bad customers as you go. I've always done that and consequently I have a round of nice or neutral customers; and that's nice.
And I picked up three new cleans yesterday without even trying; how cool is that? ;D

beats my 1 new customer picked up ;)

My three new customers add upto 35 quid; your one new customer might be £36!
Anyway, unlike you, I am working today; so you enjoy your time off, slack bottom, and I'm off out to work! ;D

ian, why not get that lad/helper pushing out leaflets every single time you put the hoses etc away
my new helper is proving a godsend. its suprising how much more energy 20 years younger lad has than me. although being deaf has its minor drawbacks, hes a great leafletter/cleaner . if he wasnt deaf ,hed be doorknocking too ,yours could do that,if he looks okay

chin up mate ya did well maybe try for 50 n go that little bit extra in march

i picked a lot up without trying, probably about £200 per month but similarly lost a few/binned a few
Starting monday i have someone canvassing a minimum of 2 days a week so cant wait to see what that brings in :)
Also picked up a bit of commercial from cold calling
Been a good start to the year, the main struggle has been keeping current work on time :)
