Title: switching to di only
Post by: chris sloan on February 25, 2011, 11:18:14 pm
should really work this one out myself but you lads have some good advice
using about 600 ltrs a day have one van with a pure freedom 400 ltr tank but drain off an extra 8 buckets for the other van that i have a trolley on, its starting to feel a bit wasteful an expensive straight off the tap

will my resin filter get soft water down to zero on a tds  it reads 151 out the tap
how often would i be changing resin

thanks for reading

got a full ro and filter system fitted on van, just wondering about just resin only as an alternative to wasting loads of water as just got a lock up to make water in

resin will get just about any tds water down to 0 but wont last long if its high. is your lock up on a water meter?

its on a water meter, as is my house where i fill now. ill happily carry on with the water bills etc etc but im thinking if when i got a street of 30 or so big houses i could just plug into their supply and maybe dont charge them then there is no chance of running out, as im outgrowing this 400 ltr tank.

Gardiners have a handy resin calculator on their website.
