Post by: derek west on February 24, 2011, 09:22:46 pm
anyone got a decent one knocking about gathering dust, i'll av it for the right price. tramex or protometer (?) would be good. got to start somewhere and a moisture meter is first on my wish list.

you mean they wouldn't sell you one cheap at the flood school, after you got all that business for them Derek.  :o

Amoisture meter is the first thing any flood restorer should buy , before any kit of any sort.  You need to be able to justify what you are doing and why.

Prices start at £500 for anything reliable worth having .  Flir are doing Thermal imaging cameras at 895 now ,which is also a tool worth having high up on any wish list.

£895 seems a bit (a lot) more justifiable than the £3.5k Adam was talking about.

Simon

PS Admins - the insert quote facility doesnt seem to be working for me.

Clearly Adam does not read the trade press, they have been out for 2 months .

This is a good buy , no point in getting used at this price , they do get abused on site .
I have this one ,and a Tramex , I prefer the Tramex though
