Been about 18 months I think, she is a friend of one of my mates, she had a lad stay there over xmas while she was away, and he trashed her lounge carpet,so my mate put in a good word, and booked it for me,had not noticed it until she pointed it out,was a white and brown ish saxony.
And yeah,it turned my gut slightly

The weirdest I had was when I worked for a C/C in Cumbria. I was cleaning carpets for a woman in Egremont and set up the Exel in the front room. This woman never said a word, right up until I switched the machine on...
She said something but the noise of the machine drowned it out. I switched the machine off and said "Excuse me?"
"My mam's just recently died!"
"Oh" I said "very sorry to here that!"
Then nothing, she just stared at me... ???
I switched the machine back on and I heard her muffled droning again.... Again, I switched the machine off and said.....
"Sorry?"
"I didn't like her!" She replied....
And that was it, end of conversation.... Weirdo! ;D

Did have a client many years ago and she threw a wobbler and acused me of not cleaning behing the sofa and screemed and shouted at me..
After that i told her i was packing my gear away and told her to get someone else to do the job,she was still shouting at me after i got in the van and drove away ;D

Weird, I think you got that right.
I imagine that she probably only told you 'on the way out' because she couldn't actually tell you and then face any type of discussion because of how upsetting it would be.
Oh, and sounds like a nice lad she had staying over, nice way to repay the favour. What is it with some people >:(

Last year I went and quoted a living room for a lady where her husband had died the day before and she wanted it doing before the funeral.
I was left like a right piggy in the middle as the woman was more concerned about organising the removal of the medical bed from the living room and getting the carpet cleaned, whilst her daughter was more concerned about organising the funeral :o
Talk about priorities.......Thanks for 40 years of marriage, let's get you buried then I can get on with my life but not before I've got the carpet cleaned
