Hi,
Just thought I would ask on here for suggestions before start taking bits off my machine!
I have been given a Karcher Puzzi Profi 200e with a PW20 power brush.
I was aware when offered it that it had an electrical problem.
It trips the electric out when the vac motor is turned on.
Its ok with the heater on, and spray on, but as soon as I turn the vac on it trips.
Does anyone have any thoughts, or even if its worth putting in to be looked at.
Also anyone got any experience on these, any good?
Many thanks

Hi
Sounds liek the vac motors shot or it shorting.
Personally i would bin it an buy something decent, but open it up and check the motor and wiring,

Hi,
Have had a look this afternoon, everything looks sound. Nothing obvious causing the problem. I did forget to mention that when it trips there is the smell you get from motor brushes, but no external brushes present. Looks sealed.
Other than that she hasnt had much use judging by the condition.
Many thanks

Ok,
So I have had a look, if its the vac motor, I can buy another for around £100
I see the power brush retails new at between £600- =£800 alone.
This is a big machine, not the puzzi 200 thats currently available, this is the big one.
Not much info on the web about it, but as far as I can see the spec is in the region of the current 400e
This is a heated machine, has a shurflo 100psi pump and a lamb 3 stage vac.
Is it still not worth repairing??

Puzzi's are horride little machines!
Never seen or heard of this bigger one that your talking about but i've looked at the workings of Karcher machines and they are not user friendly to repair.

Never used one or worked on one, but a new vac should fix it so must be worth doing even if to shove on ebay .
Karcher machines are not viewed as 'professional' by anyone who has been in carpet cleaning for long . This is not arrogance or snobery , its alright if you just want to mess round at it but if your serious look further and ask for advice.

You can do a very good job with a Karcher, as it is down to the competence of the operator not necessarily the machine.
They are ideal for small jobs with access problems ie up a large flight of steps to the door, 3rd or 4th floor bedrooms etc.

Hi,
I have attached a couple of pics (I think!) so you can get the idea of what this is.
Again there is very little, infact nothing much at all on the internet.

this is one of the better karcher machines much bigger than the junior puzzi s, it is worth buying a new vac motor.
