Title: Gym matting
Post by: Linds Russell on February 17, 2011, 04:03:12 pm
Hi all

I've been asked by a client if I'm able to clean gym matting - the kind used by karate clubs etc. I've not seen it but I've been told its the red and blue foam type stuff and has lots of sweat, dirty feet marks and some blood on it. They are looking to get it cleaned regularly to help preserve its appearance and shelf life.

How would this be cleaned and would there be any issues with it drying in situ on a stone floor? Only the top side needs cleaned, so there is no question of it being damp all round.

Many thanks

If its the matting im thinking of, you could probably use a drop of detergent with a rotary brush then a vacuum with a wet pick up.to acelerate drying use an air mover
