Title: Who dropped who?

One of my long standing custies over the last ten years had dumped me! or did I dump her - you tell me. Here's the backstory.

I do about two dozen semis houses in an ex council estate area at an average of £10 a pop and this girl has had just the fronts done every other month since for ever and pays £6.

Anyhoo, being a bit ditzy and "glastonbury, man..." she's always late paying. Even when she's in she hasn't got the lolly and about a month later she walks or cycles the two miles to my gaff and drops the money thru'.

And cuz she is pleasant and hasn't got a clue and is in amongst all my other stuff I've put up with it.

So last August I did her windows - no payment. On October 21st I did them again with a payment slip for £12 with a reminder and a polite note saying:-

"It would be much appreciated if this could be settled sooner rather than later please."

I decided to drop her when no payment was received and she didn't get a pre Xmas clean or one in February but she saw me in the road both times. I didn't chase it and thought that was that.

So yesterday along with my payment slip I get a lovely letter in the post with a cheque both dated 13th Feb 2011 saying here's the money thank you for your services which are no longer required!

So £12 received which I didn't expect and I've been dropped.

Should I laugh or cry?

Do you miss her Malc? If not, replace with a regular payer. ;)
