i have a loncin 13hp machine and was wondering how one of these would operate using 100m of hose. I need to do a job on a warehouse roof but the machine has to be situated out side the warehouse. It's easy 100m of hose to reach workspace as i had my WFP hose out today whilst working. The hose will run along the ground and then take about a 40ft vertical climb at one point.
i will also be drawing water from tank in van so will be constantly filling up :(

Can't you locate a portable water tank closer and have the feed pipe (assuming there's a water supply) at 100 metres or so? If not then get the tank as close as poss. This is more due to the amount of times you'll have to be tooing and frowing turning on / off than loss of pressure.
If you do have to run 100 metres of hp hose you should be OK. There will be a slight loss of pressure but as long as everything is nice and tight it shouldn't cause you any problems.

no water supply at these warehouse apart form the sprinkler systems and you cannot take water from them as they lose pressure and alarms will go off. There is not a chance on gods earth the washer will be allowed in the warehouse. These places are controlledby cutoms and excise and heavily monitored. i wouldn't like to take chance of having anyhting inside these places which could ignite.

there must be some kind of hydrant nearby? or even SOME type of water supply you could hook a hose up to to keep your tank constantly filling?
-
Do you want 100m of suction hose or pressure hose ? Pressure hose will be fine.
-
yopu cannot tap into hydrant at all. i need to drive round to gatehouse to fill tank back up.
hosewill be delivery hose to lance so yeah it will be the pressure hose
-
sure there is a chart showing how much pressure is lost over certain distances. my machine is 3600psi with 15 lpm
-
You won't notice the pressure loss at the gun

This will take you a lifetime.
Can't you take a feed from the gatehouse to your tank and let your tank take a constant fill?
I would defo look for better solutions as this could turn out to be your worst nightmare.

the pressure loss is calculated by poiseuilles law
if you dont want to do the sum it aint much

the panels wont take long to clean each one i reckon. i wont need a high flow rate form machine. WFP is jus tnot good enough to clena these at present however once cleaned and if job becomes regualr then wfp would keep on top of it.

If i read it right you are filling up everytime, even with a 1000ltr tank in your van you will have to refill after around an hours constant washing !
How long will it take too fill up ? 30 mins ??
On a 8 hour shift that will be 4 hours filling time ( i think, not very good at sums ??? )

there is no way i can get water at warehouse area. I have 50 panels to wash on the roof. i will b eon sit emost of the day anyways so will take my time.

result!!! lookslike they will fill 2 IBC's for me and when one is done the othe rwill be filled for me and brough down ;D
i just need to hope my machine can handle 100m hose. if not i have been told hire large washer and factor in price. 8)
