Does anyone on their "we called to clean your windows today" slips ask for payment within a specified time scale i.e. please send payment within ?? days.
I currently dont but redesigning my slips to show bank info for online payment and will be asking for payment within 3 days.
do you think 3 days is ok or would u go for summit different or not bother ?

i find the only way is to constantly collect , while out cleaning . i used to get very bitter but yet again the 3 strike rule comes into play . " no cash on me,pay next time , ok son ? " counts as 1 strike

Hi Ian,
Below is what I use... Most customers pay within the 7 days, but some still take longer.

it want matter ian ive tried it for months and still end up collecting.
i think it works if you have a couple of thousand in the business account and can ride it for a few months and are prepared to get paid on the second clean or third one,the problem then is "mr jones" answers the door instead of wife and he wants to know why you want £30.00 next thing your cancelled
i think standing orders is the way forward, imo ;D,get new customers to send a cheque for the first three months with a few to going on standing orders from the 4 month, that way you get to judge them and vice versa

i have please pay within 7 days, and normaly receive them after 2-3.

Ive tried to turn things round this year concerning payments as theyre just taking too long, made new tickets and put
Date:
Price:£
Payment to sent within 7 days
Late payments will incur a £2.50 charge
Its very clear and seems to be working!

i have,
please send payment within 7 days, on mine
most are ok, but some will never pay on time ???

I have had please pay within 3 days on mine for many months now, Some pay quicker, but a lot still take a week or two. A few still never pay until next clean. I have from january this year had words along the lines of 'there will be a £5.00 charge if it becomes necessary to collect'. It seems to have had little to no effect on the serial late payer ::)

I put 14 days on mine.
Doesn't seem to make a difference though.
Reliable ones pay within 3 days anyway.
Less reliable ones end up paying 2, or even 3, cleans at once.

I use the same as Andy ;) 90% pay within in 7 days but you are always going to get the slow ones >:( but as long as the 90% pay on time then I dont mind leaving the others to the next clean.
No money after 2 cleans then window cleaning service is STOPPED! until debt is cleared in full.

I have a note a bit like this but its in an envlope and also incudes banking details if they decide that way of paying.
This new note you are using how much has it speeded payment up by?
