thought this would be interesting as there seems to be so much doom and gloom on this board at the moment lets see what 2010 averaged
-
by the way mine was £107.58
this was up from £104.46 on 2009
-
Mine is combined with the oven cleaning, for which the average ticket is £47ish....
-
what about the carpet cleaners who service the lower end of the market???????
or is it all about how much you can stitch the customers up for?

hector
no offense but someone who is in business providing a service should be able to provide a service to all or you are limiting your target customers
-
None taken, I was not refering to myself, but some of the people out there who do specifically target the lower end of the market, as they believe that all people not just the well off deserve to have clean carpets.
-
we target all 3 levels of the domestic market and price accordingly !
you get what you pay for so to say
-
We have just returned from one of our regular customers at Cold Ash (very top end area) and we charge the same price to her as we do to the couple on the benefit system in Thatcham 2 miles away.
Both get exactly the same standard of service. :o

Berkshire is an upmarket area

The question was about what is "your" average job ticket, not how much you can stich any one up for.
Who is the real Hector Mildew anyway?

I thought it was someone else, in that case he's on our doorstep Neil.
-
Also could be a red herring, it's like me changing my name (or adding another) and saying that I get good prices from Weston super mare!
Stupid names often have stupid people behind them.

By the way my average ticket is in the £50 - £75 range. (just to keep on the point of the thread).
-
At this time of year I get a lower average but in the next quarter it goes up and then a bit higher and higher, averages are just that I did a job today £59.00 but the job after that was £200 and then another at £155 that puts my average up but my average for last month was £136.45 courtesy of my computer program.

My average is simular to yours Mark based on 12 months, Tony the way I upped the spend was to offer 3 for 2 then I got my customers to have more cleaned to make it worth their in my while then I took the offer away and they still buy in bulk.

-

Pay for 2 largest get smaller for free, so there's not a definative answer but if you look at a standard 1950's semi a lounge £59, hsl £68 = £127 and free diner.
Add scotchguard to the mix and you have your free room back vouloir!
