Title: Repair to clx 18 footer (advice pls)
Post by: Crystal-clear on February 07, 2011, 06:30:20 pm
The metal part that holds the brush is loose... it is sliping out and spinning.

Gardiners sent me some Toughend Acrylic (the little black and green thingy) but that was to fix my base cap cos that was slipping to,would toughend Acrylic suit the metal part that fits in the pole so would it glue it good?

the metal part and the bit of pole is a little bit wet but i will hair dry it if this glue will work.

I am hoping to fix it 2night, i dont wana use my extel again.

I had the same problem i use araldite b & q sell it . Use some sand paper on the metal bit to score it a little wipe off the dust with a dry cloth this helped it stick better .

I used that green and black glue from gardiners to glue my thread back in and it worked fine.

its a bit like aqua fresh when it comes out , placed it all over the metal part, a thin layer and left it to dry in a warm part of the house will it be good to use by tomorrow morning?
