Title: Advertising Standards Authoity
Post by: Ian Gourlay on February 07, 2011, 08:51:12 am
Just heard on radio from March 1st all marketing web sites will be regulated by the ASA

Do they realise how  much extra work they are taking on

I thought the current Government were abolishing organizations like this

i thought they stood for deregulation not more

It will be interesting to know how they will go about this, considering the millions of websites that exist,  ???

Is some poor soul in an office going to sit all day long and read each site  ;D

Glad it wont be me  :P

About time! As much as I hate Red Tape and interfering Government Quangos as much as anyone surely the one thing that really should be regulated is  the amount of crap that gets peddled on websites. Seems like every clueless idiot in this industry is the 'best' in the area, 'the most eco friendly' and the 'first choice' for all your carpet cleaning needs.

Just to stay on the right side of the law I'm off to change my now and tell any potential customers how hopeless I am and they'd be better off calling Daily Poppins or Enterprise.
