How long in others experience does it take to stop overcleaning windows with wfp?
I`ve packed in early today and blaming the wind but thats an excuse, really i am feeling the pace with catching up and feel worn out. I know i am overcleaning but most of my cleans havn`t been done since the beginning of November and they are new customers(bought work) that have been previously splash and dashed so frame tops etc. are not in good order,in fact they are mostly minging..Results are good and people are happy(price rise when i have cleaned 3 times).
However i have this feeling i might be getting the same results with probably half as much effort,i guess its a confidence thing that will come with time or at least i hope so or there will be some nice wfp kit for sale!

Im only new to this game too, been doing it for a year, but I don't think you can overclean the first time round. If you get it done properly, hit all the sills/frames well, and rinse well, the second time u should be well away. If custs get funny, I say if your not 100% happy I'll come back and do them again.
Never had a call back or lost a cust using pure water. :)

I did a first clean yesterday with a trolley so I was being economical with the water, I didn't touch the frames and didn't spend much longer than on a regular clean and the came up spotless, so next time they will hardly need anything. It's made me realise I doNt need to clean so much.

Why would i be joking, it isnt necessary to clean the frames, you just need to be more accurate with the rinsing.
I only clean upvc frames, and these were wooden barn windows so i decided for speed and water consumption i would leave them, i was able to check the work afterwards because i clean the insides and everything was fine.
Arnt you trad anyway james?

Ah you didn`t say in your first post they were wooden ;D
Am Wfp and trad lee!

oh james another thing, i tried your technique of not detailing the edges when doing the insides trad, it worked great, i have been wasting time for the last 7 years wiping the edges, i think my problem was using worn out rubbers, so i treated my squegee to a new rubber ;D, cut it close to the channel, and i only wiped the top of the glass, i wish i did this when i was trad :'(

my round most of the windows are already clean form last time, but as most of the customers are at home i still give them a good clean so it looks like they are getting ther monies worth.
if there not at home i give they a quicker, brush and rinse.

Yes and the more you do it lee the faster you will become!
I change my rubbers everyday turning it over halfway through the day worn rubbers slow you down but then again i do alot of trad.
