Title: chasing payment
Post by: awcs on February 03, 2011, 09:46:37 pm
Ive had a few problems with a customer paying recently, phone calls, emails and all i kept getting was we are posting it tomorow and all the other lies. So took friday off went up to London walked in to the office and demanded payment worked a treat got paid got lunch and a couple of beers.
It is not a commercial job the guy who runs the company has got a big manor house and payment goes through the office. no names but you all know of him.
The owner phoned me today from L.A appologising and has told me to put another invoice in for loss of days money, travel etc
Do I tell him I went by helicopter or should I be honest

Well down Mate. Most on here would dump them and cry on here how much you have lost. Down a thread today about telly the custy, well you have just proved my point. Have the balls tell they and it will deliver result and they respect you for it. It’s only professional after all. You have got balls of steal. Well down again.
 LOVE The STORY.

Hi,

I know the feeling, I had a similar problem with a well known customer,

You most probably know him, but I'm not saying who it is.

Dean.

That's the South African in him if he meant "balls of steel" as a noun. However as a verb I also agree - interesting. (If that is what you were referring to Gold). "Well down again", because of the balls of steel maybe?  ;D ;D ;D

Yes mate he tried,

Fortunately it was revoked.
