there are a couple of guys who use the SL carbon poles but not sure if they frequent here anymore..
what vac you using ?
we have found the more you do the better at it you get - jobs get done quicker set up/ pack away etc..
and a good vac should clear everything out without having to go there.. ::)

I vac to fifty feet with Gardiners Superllight base sections.

My my were dragging up old posts arent we?

Dave can you tell me how you connect the sections of the Gardiner base poles? have you modified them? I saw the pole on your site and was impressed! Appreciate any pointers you can give me.

Who me?
I turn them upside down - that way the overlaps on the tapered joints can't fill with dirt or water. The sections are built to be pushed together anyway. I use 38mm hose as I can't see any point in using 50mm hose when the nozzle is smaller than 50mm and the tubes are less than 50mm. Don't get many problems with blockages. 38mm hose pushes into a Superlight section a treat to give an airtight fit and can be whipped out for inspection or cleaning at the top end.
The other end takes a 38mm cuff pretty well too.
There is a company that uses Gardiners pole sections with 50mm fittings and their own nozzles etc.
