Title: CIS Registered / UTR Please Help!!

Been contacted by construction company for builders clean. He wants to go ahead & I'm being asked 1) Our we CIS registered - No were not but should we be? have have looked at this not sure if cleaning comes under CIS/
2) Also been asked do we have UTR - havn't got a clue what this means?

We'd really love to get this work so any help or advice on this matter would be appreciated.

construction industry scheme  all payment minus tax ,utr unique tax reference ,so the tax deducted is allocated to your tax account

hi there

any works done in construction fall under cis, therefore you need to be registered, if your not they wont be able to pay you.

Just phone your local HMRC and the can register you over the phone in about 10 minutes.

Get them to give you the UTR. Simple
