did a flood today, not a big one, washer leaked and soaked a 100% wool berbar in the snug and through to the front door. extracted all the water, customer well impressed but as i walked over it, the berbar got wet again, anyhoo i had to march all over it and extract and march and extract (felt like a right charlie walking on the spot) and so on and so forth till no more water was coming up. lets just say it took a while.
are water claws all there made out to be? any one swear by them?
if yes i'll get one.

Mainly used for urine. So that you can flood an area with chem, then use the claw to draw the crap out from the backing.
Its a small surface area so not maybe not the best for floods.

From memory there are 2 sizes. The small one is about 6x8 inches and is good as Carpet Dawg says for localised staining which needs flooding or indeed for small floods.
The larger one (which I don't have) is specifically designed for dealing with a flooded carpet, and is probably 4 times as big and is (I think) designed to be used from a standing position, whilst for the small one you need to get down on your knees to use.
I've used the small one for both small floods and also stains. I think it's great but if I was planning to do more flood work than I do I would definitely invest in the large one as well as I think my thinking was I'll buy the small one which is cheaper and see if it's any good. It is!

I use the larger claw, and it is perfect for flood work.. ;) I used it recently on a tenanted house that had 5 burst pipes over 3 floors in a house that was only 6 months old... :'( IMO its a good piece of kit that has paid for itself, over and over again.......

Had a small one for years and use it mainly for urine etc, brilliant.
