Title: frozen L5
Post by: poleman on January 31, 2011, 12:28:48 pm
Have one of Peter Fogwell hot water units and last night was - 4 and I didn't put my greenhouse heater in the back off the van so all frozen this morning  :( so have just defrosted everything and tried to use it but water is coming out of the side and bottom of the unit  :(

NOW can it be repaired or do I have to get a new one!

Please help

Andy

There's a metal repair resin from B&Q that ppl use to fix L5's sometimes. Depends where its broken though,..

I know it's too late now. But does this system have a drain screw like the L5 ?
On my L5 i also blow all the water out each night to make sure   ;)

Andy, take the cover off and if its anything like an L5 inside, you should be able to tighten up the screws that hold the brass unit together inside.
I did this on mine and all seems fine
