some heavy coffee stains where office tables once were but its empty now. oh and 2 large pieces of chuddy
one hard floor kitchen approximately 5m by 3m, altro style non slip.
how much would you guys of quoted and how long would it take you to clean it. i'm doing it early feb.
-
Hi Derek, with the sizes you mention I would pop over to Cleantalk and post the same question. There are a couple of guys on there who have probably forgotten more than the rest of us will ever know; Trevor Ives, Ken Wainwright and John Bolton come to mind straight away and are always quick to give good advice.
You should ideally find out manufacturer and type. As you know tiles aren't always synthetic, some aren't supposed to be wet cleaned at all, so if you can get this info then all the better.
I would look to LM but on an area of this size it would make sense to have at least two operators / machines and maybe one more to help with the pre-spraying / pad rinsing. Oh, as for what to use if LM then Fusion Clean is great.
As for the kitchen, if badly soiled then use a rotary and blue poly brush then wetvac the slurry. Altro offer their own cleaning solutions which work fine, but just stick withing the recommended guidelines and you'll be fine.

yeah er! er! cheers for that ian.
pretty sure i didn't mention "how to" though. ;D but i'll bear your advice in mind, thanks.
as for clean talk, there a bit toooooo sensitive for my speak on that forum, besides which, i think they told me my advice and services were no longer required ;D

£1200 , 4 man days
interesting!
i'm hoping to do it in 2 days, 9 to 5 each day.
-
We don't do much other than domestics, but we'd probably have quoted about 2.5k, and we'd have expected to twin-wand it with TM extraction over 2 longish days. No experience of LM. Price would have included use of 4 snail dryers - left for the next day if they'd wanted.
Go on then, what price did you get?

So 2 people for one day = 2 man days
2 people for 2 days = 4 man days = my prediction
-
£1.50 SQM x 1000 LM = LOTS OF MUCK SPREADING =£1,500
BIT OF ALTRO £150
27.5 hours labour
TOTAL £1650 :-*

just make sure you don't say they can't drive then, or worse still, know the offside rule. ;D

just make sure you don't say they can't drive then, or worse still, know the offside rule. ;D
Oh yes we do....it's simples ;D
Follow this and you can't go wrong with the offside rule:
You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have.
The female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire. Both of you have forgotten your purses.
It would be rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no money to pay for the shoes.
The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.
Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and sees your dilemma.
She prepares to throw her purse to you.
If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper and buy the shoes!
At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and "whilst it is in flight" you could nip around the other shopper, catch the purse and buy the shoes!
BUT, you must always remember that until the purse has "actually been thrown", it would be plain wrong for you to be in front of the other shopper and you would be OFFSIDE!

So of course you won't mention it at all will you ;D
Careful you don't know who's listening and you may just have to resign ;D

Mark is that HWE OR LM?
-
yeah i get that, but i think helen was getting at the "man" days which i never said. who dya think i am, andy grey ;D
Just read this again, sorry if it came across that way.. no way do I agree with what's gone on with the sackings and all that stuff with Andy Gray or Richard Keys.
In my employment years I seemed to pick jobs that were male orientated (my choice) and if there were any innuendoes thrown my way, then they were chucked straight back with "numptys" on. I agree that in some areas of industry it can be tough if you are a woman (but we have a choice) and if you act like a girlie, then you will get treated like a girlie ;D
Again (and I will probably get hammered for this!) it's the PC brigade gone mad again and everyone has lost their sense of humour.
There is a line that shouldn't be crossed obviously, but the old saying springs to mind....sticks and stones......but words? ;D

i'd be on andy grays side if she'd got the decission wrong, but the girl was spot on and andy gray, (who thinks he's gods gift to football) obviously doesn't know the off side rule, sack the chauvenist flocker, he gets on my man boobs anyhoo. ;D
-
When i heard about it I thought it was a bit of nothing but the more you look the deeper it gets, Andy Gray taking News of the World to court which is owned by Murdoch, saying that I read Andy Gray's autobiography and he's exactly the same in the book!
Helen you're spot on with the 'give it um back with bells on' attitude, name calling is childish and can be fun but the PC brigade don't like fun! your a sensible bird ;)
Shaun

its on jobs like this I would probably lose money as I have never measured a job, I just work how long it will take and charge my day rate, I would guess this job would come in at under a grand.
