Hi Guys, been a while since i have been on as have had a poope two months! Basically December saw me involved in a car accident, putting me in hospital for two weeks and off work until thursday last week when the docs gave me the all clear to return to work.
After my stay in hospital i contacted my customers via telephone call and email, explained the situation and wished them a merry xmas. All seemed fine.
Friday and the weekend i spent sorting on my equipment and loading up the estate car im having to use (I know some people will have a view on windys in estate cars, but my van was written off!)
Monday morning came and off i went!
The first four houses were fine, no body home, so just cracked on. Then it begin to go bad! The next seven customers i went to all now have another window cleaner!! I spent yesterday ringing round and have found from all of my customers i had before the accident, Ive got nine left!
A shiny new windy has pretty much swiped the lot!!
At the moment dont really know what to think! Is it time to throw in the towel or try and pick it all back up!

just consentrate on the ones you
have left word will soon get round
whats happened etc n i think you will
get most custys back if they were regular
before and gud luck m8 ;) ;)

You have nine left in total ? - how many did you have to start with?
Not much loyalty from them - did they know why you didnt turn up?
Bad luck about the accident, if you have to start again, at least the better weathers here.
-
thats terrible, I'm sorry to hear that.
How many did you have if thats not a rude question ?
I'm only asking because to have only 9 left sounds suspicious, as if someone has known about the houses you cleaned.
I take it all your customers had contact details for you ?
Good luck

You're less than two months late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad I didn't have those customers; you're better off without them mate :-[

Really sorry to hear that Jason.
Don't give up. Do the ones you still have and start knocking some doors.
Hope you get back on your feet quickly.

realy sorry about the accident mate but u have learned wot i learned after many years custies are not loyale for get them and move on and good luck to u

no loyalty between window cleaners these days
if i picked up work of a window cleaner and found he had an accident i would give them back to him customer will not get the choice.
if customers rung me after me handing back the work asking for me to clean if it was benefical to me i would buy the houses off him or maybe swap him for some work i wanted to off load.
thats just me but best of luck
this may just happen ;) ;)

the dross that dropped you are a waste of space. if i was you id NEVER take any of those ungrateful wretches back, even if they come tiptoeing to you after not liking the new guy
as said above ,try to see it as a challenge and i believe an estate car will bring you in FAR more work than a van ever will (long as you are doing the "ordinary" type gaffs )

thats shocked me mate for yourself just pick youself up and get that canvassing goin you dont need crappy custies like that anyway Twots

Thats poo that man, been out canvassing tonight myself, got a couple of streets where folk said their WC hasnt been for a while (they are absolutely filthy 3mths+easy..) i just said "here, heres a leaflet,he might be just behind what with snow etc,i was.Ring me if he doesnt come back"
Had a few say they have a Wc and ask how much i would charge,i just say nah thanks anyway,im not here to poach work.Heres my number if you ever cancel him or he stops coming.
Cant believe theyve not even give it 2 cleans before cancelling, everyone knows and understands how much we all (WC's) suffered during late Nov and Dec,frozen water and ice on the ground made it impossible for most...
