Title: Business mobile
Post by: Dean Taberner on January 22, 2011, 09:39:47 pm
Hi guys,

What mobile networks are you guys with and do you have a normal or business tariff?

Ive got a blackberry on orange business and their customer service and support is 100% bang on.

Today I accidently dropped my phone and it turned itself off and now wont turn on properly.

Ive called them and a replacement is coming tomorrow.

Business tariffs are more expensive each month but you certainly get value for money in the service.

orange have always been great to me with their standard tariff, but unfortunately i get no signal with them where i live so i have had to go with O2 who seem ok, but i have never had a problem that needs sorting out

Lee,

The signal with orange is terrible on my BB at my house but thanks to their UMA system I get 100% signal on my BB by connecting the phone to my wifi.

my wife has a BB with uma and it is great, but i insist on having an iphone and they dont have it, orange is much better for everywhere else locally to me but i need the signal at home. I work with my brother who is on orange and the amount of times i have to use his phone because mine has no network.

As a sole trader, I find that Asda PAYG is enough.  Some months it doesn't even cost me a fiver.  For me it's more about being contactable than needing to phone out.  However, if I had a business involving a few employees I imagine a contract would be better.
Asda is 8ppm/4ppm talk/texts.  It can cover anywhere that Vodafone can due to Vodafone providing the backbone.
I used to have a Vodafone contract but, quite frankly, it was wasted on me.

i too just use  a PAYG ,on o2 .  i buy a cheap camera fone in Tesco and just get it unlocked by the local unlocking shop. in my wallet are a couple of backup Sim cards for other networks to slide in  if theres a problem getting a signal

I have got 2 iphone4 on o2, we share 1000mins, 1000 texts, unlimited data and I think I get 50 photos a month, also 12 month contract. I only pay £45.00 a month for both of them, which I think is agreat deal.

thanks for the reply do you have to prove the all calls made & received on these phones are for business only or does it not matter  ???

This is my problem i need a new phone

If i was getting a phone for personal use only i would get a cheap one that i can make and recieve calls on would cost £15 per month

but

For business i need one that does web, email, apps would be nice and has a music player/fm radio would cost £35 per month

I don't want to pay £35 per month from my personal account when the phone is mainly 90% for business use with the odd personal call  ;D ;D

Thanks Paul

It is free handsets, but I get a good deal because I have been with them over 15 years, in the day when they were cellnet
