need to sort out a small box for on the spot repairs so what spares/tools do take with you every day
-
Hoselock connectors, rectus 21 connectors, oclips and pliers, hose barb repairer, would like a spare pump and controller but we have a 2 man setup so we could run both reels off one pump if need be,
-
Water pump pliers, adjustable spanner, flat & pozi drivers, PTFE tape, hozelock connectors + O rings, spare angle adaptors, spare swivels, glue, jubilee clips, electrical tape, various barbed connectors, jump leads, small lengths of the various size hoses & pipes I use, one of those "all in one" tools- pliers/knife etc. tie wraps, vaseline.
I think that's the main things for me. ;)

Whats the vaseline for ;)

stops the sections on the SL2 from sticking together, and a handy lubricant for your hose reel spindle connector.

Seems like a comprehensive list - to which I would like to add 30 amp blade fuses (the green ones). That will depend on your type of system and perhaps whether you use a split charge relay though.

I don't carry a spare pump Daz, "water pump pliers" They are a type of grip/pliers that plumbers use for domestic water pump connections. They are adjustable & so fit just about anything on your van/system. ;D
