Title: local shops/commercial?
Post by: creggan on January 21, 2011, 10:28:58 pm
living in a small irish town/village!recession has hit everyone hard, extra taxes, job losses, etc.local businesses have suffered including my own.i have built up my business over the the last 5/6 years including some local shops, pubs, etc much to the annoyance of a window cleaner who travels 10 miles every friday to clean windows in my area.i have never canvassed any commercial he cleaned but some have asked me to clean instead of him. recently local traders have been promoting'shop local',would it be a good time for me to promote my business to those who i spend my money in their shops and whom have never approached me to clean their windows?all opinions please!

You are running a business, do what you have to do, no other business would worry about a guy that live ten miles away. I think the trade local is a great idea
