havent been canvassing for ages, due to heavy workload & severe weather conditions......
well, van needed a new load compensating valve and rear brake pipe, couldnt be bothered doing it myself, so chucked it in the garage for a day & headed out in the car for some canvassing on an estate i already have about 30 houses on.
Result, knocked about 75-100 between 2 of us. Managed to get 16 new jobs out of it and 2 "callbacks"
all £5 council houses, bar two £3 granny flats & a £3 front only job ;D
not bad for a few hours, and back home to take the dogs out for an hour before dark ;D

well done done m8 ;) u still got it ;D
-
Ryan, why don't you try and target more lucrative areas?
-
i have some "lucrative" areas tosh, but trying to wean them out. Too much travelling from job to job. one "lucrative" round makes £370. good money, but lot of travelling. in fact thats due next week >:(
£5 council house up here is >
FRONT
1 (or 2) single tops. depenind if 2 or 3 bed
1 bottom
door
BACK
2 top
3 bottoms
SIDE (only on either end of a 4-link)
1top
1bottom
they either have a door on back or side depending if mid or end link
-
nothing wrong with that ryan I do loads of that type 1 up 1 down fronts and 2 up 2 down rear at 5 quid a pop is easy money ;)
-
certainly is ;) beats driving about all day ;D

I don't like trying to get in little bits of money here and there; more customers means more talking to them. I prefer 1 x £20 than 4 x £5 since you've got four different customers to deal with, rather than just the one.
I like to travel, clean, and leave an envelope so they can post me the payment.
Saying that I do have a street of very compact terraced houses, but the collecting annoys me for these. And one or two of them really like to talk.
I also travel to large houses and have a lot of 'drive betweens', but these are priced well and it's this sort of work I prefer.
I guess it just boils down to preference.

I would love to drive all day doing well paid jobs but the simple fact is compact work pays more with the right customers. and well paid jobs are hard to find around here, but I have a few that I do,I like them days

your correct tosh, preference is what it boils down to
im currently weaning my round down to within 5miles from home...
these "lucrative" jobs, often "forget" to send cheques?
rather collect for a few hours, bag it all up & bank it at end of week ;)
as you say though pal, down to preference ;)

on this very estate on which i canvassed today. I had a very bad payer. she owes 3x cleans. I said to myself, get 5 customers today & drop her ;D so with 16 new jobs, shes well & truly ditched, and i'll make sure all the other windys in the area knows about her ;)

Well done.
My count for customers is 87 so far this year at £6/£8 a fortnight. Might be going out this afternoon if not every night next week.
Keep it up!
Best Regards
