I just got a 200gpd pumped system from Vyair.
Just the job!!
And it cost Peanuts!!
Vyair are based near me so I went and collected it.
Phill, the guy in charge of Vyair is a good chap and gives sound, sensible advice.
If you want any RO or DI bits. Give them a call:
0800 1978844
or
01507 524576
They have tonnes more in stock than on their web site.
This is what I have:

They dont seem any cheaper than any where else , in fact some items are more expensive.
-
If your interested I have a 450gpd RO (from Pure Freedom) ,that only had light use for about 6 months, £135 inc courier service.

i think they are cheaper because they are pumped so would you still need a booster pump with it

Hi
Can any of those of you with Vyair RO's give us an indication what the efficency of these units are please. (TDS of water in - TDS of water out excluding resin filteration).
The reason why I ask is that RoMan once said that the only membranes worth getting are the ones made in the USA. They advise to stay away from 'Chinese' made membranes.
Now I see the membranes supplied by Vyair are made in Korea - hence the question.
Also, I don't see a price for the 200g membranes on their website. Oh, sorry, just found it, £91.90 for 2 and would imagine that's + VAT.
Thanks

My unit is new, and I'm told the TDS out will improve over the next couple of weeks, but TDS in is 240, out is 012.

Hi Nathanael,
So at present yours is about 95% efficient. Peter Fogwill suggested they should run at 97 to 98%.
It would be interesting to see if this improves.
Our TDS was around 250 about 5 years ago, and we could run our RO without Resin when the membranes were new but as they got older we had to start using resin.
We could actually again get rid of the resin filters as our water TDS is around 90 and the resin lasts for ages.
Thanks

Would it not be cheaper in the long run to get new membranes Spruce? ;)
I have an old ro-man , had the membranes in 4 years now, change filters 3 times per year ( american ones now)
the water is 220 in and 002 out, never used resin , it used to be 00.0 until recently , so i will keep an eye on the membranes.
So i would say they are still no cheaper than anywhere else with or without a pump , sounds like its all chinese to me.
I think the 300 gpd from pure freedom is the best , reasonably price one on the market , at the moment.
