Fairy liquid. Or as we call it on here, Matt Bateman; because he`s a big fairy ;D.

i chop and change between squeegee off and gg3.both are excellent.ill stick to using fairy for the dishes!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
-
Fairy liquid.
Used the other "bling bling" stuff and fairy is the best value and results by far
-
Fairy liquid rots the rubber window seals and causes blown windows. ;D
The thin film it leaves on the glass also causes dirt particles to adhere to it. So i use a proprietary brand like gg3, designed for the job.

Do you have any experience or evidence to back that claim up????

been using fairy for ages cant agree with that mate
-
ettore squeegee of . mixed with fairy ,
you dont get many suds with squeege of , so i add the fairy
-
I'm using WCW soap after trying pretty much everything else.
Your squeegee glides really well not too much foam up and its far cheaper than unger,gg3, squeegee off...
-
Difficult to beat stardrops, been using it 30 years, just tried GG4 good but expensive

just type ...will fairy liquid rot rubber (seals).........into google and read...............
the surfactants it contains does a loveley job of ensuring its salt content can slide down behind the rubber seal and do its job on the glass seals ;D
Or just pop a bit of rubber in a little pot of fairy and leave it and see what it goes like for yourself.

Been using fairy for 15 years, had no problems at all. Dont use cheap liquid just pulls on the blade

only joking jackal!i used fairy for 15 years!im defo noticing windows staying cleaner for longer with wfp but i dont mind cleaning very slightly dirty windows!its easier and quicker!
wfp does a very good job now i clean the frames as well.my custies are paying me to keep them clean so they never get dirty not like when i was trad with fairy!! ;) ;D
my cheaper very compact work is 4 weekly but a lot of new work is 8 weekly at better prices.in winter sometimes its 5 or 6 weekly on monthly work due to short days/weather.
i very rarely get anyone asking for 8 weekly on my compact estate stuff.
regards
dazmond

We use Buzil 525 Window Master here in Germany now and again, It does a good job and smells lovely but Squeegee Off from Ettore is alot better value and does a great job too, :)

Still no evidence or experience from those posters to support the claim though.
In one they say "oil and grease does aswell" Well why do they use grease to install the rubber into the windows when they make them then??!!
And as for blowing the window seals, again thats nigh on impossible as the glass sits on packers, thus above the water, which incidently drains off through 2, inch wide drainage holes either end of the aperture.
What makes them blow is warm temps inside and freezing ones outside-constant expanding and shrinking over the years eventually shrinks the rubber seal between the 2 panes.Trust me a bit of fairy every 4 weeks wouldnt affect it at all,its a very very thick seal.
I for one will always use fairy. It will take more than a couple of anoraks on car forums worried about rust to put me off lol
